What is vaginal thrush?
Vaginal thrush is a mild but common condition that affects many women. 75% of women suffer at least one faith in their life from vaginal thrush. How is it going ?
Intimate flora normally consists of many bacteria? Lactobacilli, Dozerlein’s bacilli lining the vaginal mucosa and acting as a natural barrier to protect it. It is a delicate balance that is important to respect. This balance can be threatened by several factors. For example, antibiotic treatment prescribed for angina or any other infection can destroy these protective bacteria and promote the development and / or development of vaginal thrush.
Causes of vaginal thrush
Fungus infections are transmitted most of the time during sex, but also outside of sexual contact. For example, a virgin woman may have vaginal thrush. Many factors can increase the risk of developing vaginal thrush. It is :
-The taking of certain drugs, especially antibiotics
-Hormonal changes (puberty, pregnancy, menstruation, oral contraceptives, hormonal IUD …)
– Bad local hygiene.
-Excessive intimate toilet and / or the use of inappropriate soaps
STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)
-The wearing of tight clothing
-The use of panty liners that dry the vulva.
Symptoms of vaginal thrush
The symptoms of vaginal thrush are:
-Some thick white, creamy but odorless (leucorrhea)
-Douleurs during sexual intercourse
-A burning sensation to the vulva and / or vagina, especially during urination
-Vulve bright and swollen.
-Pain in the lower abdomen
Is vaginal thrush sexually transmitted?
Some studies classify vaginal thrombosis in STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) because it can also be transmitted during sexual intercourse. If the partner does not feel any discomfort, it is not necessary for him / her to undergo a treatment. If, on the other hand, there are symptoms, it is better to consult them as well.
